DALLAS COWBOYS STILL BEST IN TEXAS 27-13

September 26, 2010

Joe De Santos, Sr.

The Dallas Cowboys were firing on most  cylinders Sunday and showed how great a team they can be by giving the Houston Texans a thorough whipping at Reliant Stadium.  The real Tony Romo showed up.  They still made more mistakes than they need.  These guys have some of  the best talent in the NFL and they displayed some of that today.  I was mostly impressed with Roy Williams as he caught two of the Cowboys’ touchdowns, one a great catch.  He was unusually sure-handed and played like he was expected to play when he was brought in.  Jason Garrett’s play calling was more or less the same, however, it was better executed.  In my dreams, I would like to see Felix Jones made the primary running back and Marion Barber used primarily on short yardage and goal line situations, like the old days.  In my opinion, those circumstances are  his bread and butter.  I liked the decisions to go for it on fourth and short, something different and  not so smart.  I would’ve been the first to bitch if they had lost the game.  Now, if only the team eliminates those unnecessary penalties.  Check out two different takes on the game from the Houston Chronicle and the Dallas Morning News by clicking on the links below:
