Written by a frustrated fan
How can a football team look so great one week and stink to high hell the following week? The Dallas Cowboys have been doing this to their fans now for several years. Jerry Jones sells us on “this is the year” and it really looks like it after the first game and come the following week they suck! The defense that looked so great last week against the world champion New York Giants looked like crap this week. The secondary looked like deja vu, ghosts from the past. They played just as bad as any of the previous years. The defensive line did not press the young Seahawks’ quarterback and couldn’t stop the run. They were completely outplayed. The offensive line couldn’t stop or block anybody. As a result, Tony Romo got excited and as usual, when he is pressured he plays like crap. This poor guy cannot play under pressure. Everybody knows it. Give him time and he’ll kill you, however, under pressure, he folds…bad! The few good passes he threw were dropped by his best receivers. What the hell is going on? I mean, the whole team sucked! Not one good thing to say about them. This was the best year for the Cowboys to trade up and draft one of the top college quarterbacks. Why didn’t they? I know that Romo is breaking all kinds of records, but records don’t win football games. I hope he makes me eat my words, but I don’t think he will ever take the Cowboys to the big one. Also, Felix Jones needs to go. This guy has never contributed and for the life of me I don’t know why they keep him. Jason Garrett is another story. I think that maybe, besides Jerry Jones, he is the crux of the problem. He’s too cool, unexcitable and he cannot…repeat…cannot call good plays. I watch him on the sidelines and man, he looks like he’s smiling when he’s losing his ass! Hey, this franchise needs a complete overhaul and I know it’s not going to happen while it’s led by the aforementioned group. Too bad. I am a rabid fan, however, it’s very frustrating to watch America’s team crumble in front of me and there’s nothing I can do about it. Something is wrong within when all the talent on the team does not blend together and ALL of them play like crap. Here is wishing that I’m dead wrong and they win all the remaining games. I’ll sure be watching, win or lose and I’m sure, that’s what Jerry Jones is counting on.
