DALLAS COWBOYS – WEEK 13 GRADES VS PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

December 04, 2012

Well, here we are at the end of week 13 and the Dallas Cowboys came out victorious 38-33 against a badly bruised Philadelphia Eagles’ team.  A win is a win, right?  I ‘m happy they won, however, I thought it was a very sloppy win.  I give credit to the offense for being able to score 38 points but why is it necessary to score that much to win,  especially with a weak team?  I think it has a lot to do with the awful run and pass defense.  I still say it’s the scheme, the defensive coordinator is not using the talent available in the right way.  The offensive line was better this week, not too many hits on quarterback Tony Romo which allowed him to connect with his receivers.  They still had a couple of penalties that shouldn’t have been.  How about the 98 yard punt return?  I still don’t understand the method of tackling by these guys.  Most of them use the body block and no wrap-around tackles.  This allows extra yards every time and during this particular punt return, a touchdown.  Individuals show a touch of greatness but as a team, very undisciplined and if they go to the playoffs, they are going to get embarrassed. This is a terribly coached team.  Maybe next year.  How many times have we heard that?  Please click on the following bleacherreport.com link to read featured columnist Steven Miranda’s grades on this past weeks game:
