The fish are biting all around the Corpus Christi area. Here is an article by David Sikes, Corpus Christi Caller Times’ Outdoors writer discussing opinions about using live croaker when fishing for salt water trout. There seems to be a pro and con controversy on using this type of bait. He states that at one time some folks called croaker “trout candy” or “trout cocaine”. Hmm, sounds like that’s the bait to use if you want to catch your legal limit of trout. In the article, Sikes also speaks about one of his recent successful fishing trips.
