DON’T FORGET TO PRAY FOR OUR TROOPS IN HARMS WAY – EVERY NIGHT

God bless our troops

September 13, 2012

Oh,  how easy it is to forget our troops fighting for their lives in Afghanistan.  Football is in the air in these wonderful United States of America.  Our children are back in school and we are busy  trying to make a living and taking care of our household…. However, their are thousands of families with loved ones in the front lines, praying that they return safely back to them.  Lets join them in praying for our troops with a little prayer every night.  I have been praying for them everyday for a long time.  Please make it a point to take time and pray for our soldiers, airmen, sailors, marines and coast guard who are in the front lines at this moment.  Just a short prayer for God to keep them safe and bring them back to their families, alive and well.  Recently our troops are being attacked by the same men that they are training.  In the month of  May of this year, one of our hunting buddies who was a Platoon Sergeant in Afghanistan was shot twice and seriously wounded by an Afghan soldier.  He and his Platoon Leader, a Second Lieutenant were visiting with tribal leaders in a hut of some kind.  My understanding is that because of protocol and Afghan tradition, they went into the meeting with no shoes, body armor  or weapons.  The Afghan turned on them and wounded our friend and killed his Lieutenant.  Our buddy survived and will have minimal use of his right arm for the rest of his life and I’m sure PTSD forever.   It is my humble opinion that it is time for our troops to come home.  I don’t think we can do anymore for those people and I don’t think they want us there anyway.  Like I stated, it’s only my opinion and I wish no more U.S. troop blood spilled in that Country.  Bring our troops home!  Attached you will find two links, news.yahoo.com and bbc.com.uk as an example of some of what is happening to our troops and our allies in that foreign Country:
