GRIZZLY BEAR KILLS BACKPACKER IN DENALI NATIONAL PARK IN ALASKA

September 13, 2012

Our species is supposed to be the smartest of all mammals, so why do we do so many stupid things?  This guy goes into the wild, being warned not to get too close to the bears before he begins his trek and lo and behold he runs into a grizzly bear, stands in front of him for about 8 minutes taking photos at about 50 yards on Friday, August 24, 2012 in Denali Park in Alaska.   According to officials at the park, the camera was found and the time sequence shows he stood there for that amount of time just snapping pictures and I guess the bear finally had enough and charged him.  When they found him, the bear had him stashed in a secluded area, apparently to continue eating on him.  It’s unknown if he was armed or had bear spray.  If he was an animal lover, he probably thought he could pacify him with a bear hug.  This is really sad.  Please click on the following article by Casey Grove of the Alaska Daily News on ADN.com to read all about it:
