TEXAS QUARTERBACK GARRETT GILBERT LEAVING, LOOKING TO TRANSFER

The University of Texas football program has announced that junior quarterback Garrett Gilbert is leaving and is looking at hooking up at another school.   After leading Lake Travis high school to consecutive 4A state titles, Gilbert was highly recruited and selected UT.  He eventually succeeded Colt McCoy in 2010 and after a poor outing in a game with BYU this year, he was replaced by Colt McCoy’s little brother, sophomore Case McCoy and freshman quarterback David Ash, who now share quarterbacking duties.  Gilbert suffered a year ending injury and is on the mend.  Please click on the following espn.go.com link to read the story:
