VETERANS DAY 2012

Large U.S...

SP4 Alfredo J. Saenz

November 11, 2012

On this Veterans Day,  November 11, 2012, I would like to dedicate this page to my first cousin, Alfredo Jose Saenz who was killed in combat, December 30, 1966 in Vietnam.  He made the ultimate sacrifice as a machine gunner with the 1st Calvary Division (Airmobile) .  We will never never forget you, brother, rest in peace.  I would also like to honor a friend that I served with while stationed at USARPAC in Hawaii in 1962-63.  His name was Lt. Colonel George Senseny Eyster, Jr.  He was killed in Vietnam on January 13, 1966, may he rest in peace.  He was an officer and a true gentleman.   I would also like to remember my dad who fought in WWII and earned a Silver Star for gallantry in action along with 2 Bronze Stars with V for bravery and all others who served this great Country, especially my family members, my son, uncles, cousins brothers in law and nephews.  Some of us were fortunate to serve during peace time, however, most of my uncles fought in WWII and two of my other cousins (besides Alfredo) fought in Vietnam.  One of my nephews fought in the Middle East and one is currently in the Marine Corps and has served several combat tours in the Middle East.  To all, be proud that you served the greatest Country in the World.  To those that are still serving, may God be at your side always.  God bless America.
